An accomplished woman with experience in board governance and oversight in roles, Joyce is an Executive Director (CEO), a Non-Executive Director (school governor working alongside CEOs/CCOs/COOs, senior management and leaders and with international operations), a Trustee (for a multinational educational charity) and performing board level advisory, Coach/Mentor/Advisor to CEO’s/Start-up Founders and consultancy work. Joyce is therefore, used to managing multiple stakeholders with differing priorities.

Joyce is also the founder and director of AfricaOracle, a business consultancy that advises executives and leaders on strategy, experiential marketing and business development. AfricaOracle is also involved in engaging and organising community-based events for the African diaspora in London. 

Joyce has an extensive cross-industry IT career, starting with Software One (a start-up software firm which built and implemented core software that led to the business being acquired by Oracle Corporation, UK), then Whitbread PLC (FSTE 100), management consultant providing IT services to Whitbread’s businesses, and Bull Information Systems (UK). Joyce has managed e-commerce and systems integrations and Visa EU, and led teams on the implementation of online payment technologies for banks across Europe.

Joyce has a MBA (with a specialisation in Finance and International business) and a BSc (Hons) degree, First Class in Computer Studies. She is also an academic in entrepreneurship with the business school at the University of Westminster and a graduate of the Visa Bank Card Program from the Visa Business School (accredited by The Chartered Institute of Bankers).

She has been awarded multiple accolades for her work , such as the African Diaspora Changemaker by Royal Society of Arts (RSA) and Comic Relief for achievements within community and development work in the UK and Africa; a Google Top Black Talent winner (led a team to win Google’s online marketing challenge); a member of EPoC (Empowering People of Colour ) – a network of people of colour, aspiring and embarking on their non-executive director careers and a member of Women on Boards: a network of women who are starting and shaping their board careers.
